About us

Agile Pharma was founded in Zwijndrecht, the Netherlands in 1986 under the name Pharmacin. Pharmacy and raw materials have always been the drivers of the company based on the supply of pharmaceutical raw materials in Europe.

In 2006 Agile Pharma became a 100% subsidiary of the multinational company Aurobindo Pharma (India). Aurobindo is one of the leading API manufacturing companies in the world and also one of the very few pharmaceutical companies that are vertically integrated with a presence in the API and Formulations segments.

Agile Pharma's main activities are:

  • Supplying pharmaceutical raw materials, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API’s) and excipients in Europe derived from Aurobindo’s product portfolio.
  • Sourcing and distribution of pharmaceutical raw materials (APIs and Excipients) for the pharmaceutical and veterinary industry.
  • Sourcing, warehousing and distribution of raw materials for the cosmetic and food supplement industry. Agile Pharma is distributor of various premium quality products, such as Magnesium Oxide, Calcium Carbonate, Xylitol and Sorbitol all in various grades.
  • Agile Pharma has GMP classified (Class D) clean rooms where raw materials can be repacked in any desired volume and packaging type. Agile Pharma stands for customized solutions and if desired, we can handle analysis of your raw materials, of course, according to the latest pharmacopoeias.

Agile Pharma’s quality system is based on Good Manufacturing Practices GMP I and II ICHQ7 for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API’s).

We hold the following Quality certificates and licenses:

  • A GMP license for re-packing of pharmaceutical raw materials, in accordance with the EU directives on GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
  • A GDP (Good Distribution Practice) license for the distribution and storage of pharmaceutical raw materials
  • An API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) registration
  • A controlled drug license
  • A License for Precursors
